The Lover's Jealousy Meme

Jealousy is an ugly trait, you know.

People have different levels of comfort when it comes to their significant other or person they're with. Some trust implicitly, knowing that nothing will come between them. Others try to be tolerant, though supposed hints keep them feeling uneasy. Still others, being hurt in the past, can take every little thing as a slight.

However, there isn't much wiggle room when someone makes a pass at your lover right in front of you.

And, to top things off, your partner didn't react with the right amount of disgust. Maybe they were trying to be friendly and polite, and surely they HAD to realize that they were being flirted with. It was a complete bald-faced attempt.

Even if you're the most patient, understanding person in the world, this has to get your dander up. Nobody would expect otherwise. So, how will things go down from here? Will you try to get over it? Where does your character fall on this spectrum? More importantly, what's their relationship with their emotions like? Do they bury everything deep, deep down inside, or are they the first one to cry over a sappy movie? Do they even know how they feel about what's going on inside? Pretty meta stuff.

MONSTER'S BRIDE

There's a long precedent in folklore and myth of beautiful young people - both men and women - being kidnapped by monsters: dragons, beasts, goblins, demons, elves, vampires, wolves, or even evil humans. In the end, however, these prisoners are almost always rescued and brought back to civilization to live a normal and happy life.

But what if they didn't want to leave their jailor?

They've seen behind the surface and have begun to sympathize with this "monster;" no, more than that, they've fallen for them. Will this story have a happy ending? Will the monster believe that anyone could love them? Most importantly, though, can the two of them be left alone without any attempts at a "rescue?"

Thread anything that could remotely fit under the umbrella theme. Was the kidnapping just that, or did both parties know (and care) for each other before, making it a collaborative, mutual effort? Or maybe you could thread out a scene where the prisoner runs away from the society they were forced back into and returns to their beloved beast! It's all up to you. How To Play:

This is a shipping meme that operates on "true love." VI. One Last Chance - You're all set up for an arranged marriage, but you've got lingering regrets. Maybe there's an old flame you're just not willing to let go of yet. In this prompt, you're interacting not with your potential bride or groom, but with someone else.
VII. The Big Day - Do you hear the wedding bells ringing? Everyone else does. It's time to walk down the aisle and make this official.
